Noticing the quiet, human moments that make life feel full.
About
A little bit about me…
Hello, I’m Lynn. I live in the Highlands of Scotland—one of the most beautiful and quietly powerful places I know—and I spend as much time as I can noticing the small, human moments that make life feel full.
Photography, for me, is a way of paying attention—to light, to landscape, and to the quiet connections we find with others, especially when travelling. I’m drawn to images that feel unhurried and honest, with a sense of presence that invites the viewer to linger. Some of my favourite photographs come from those fleeting encounters: brief conversations, shared glances, everyday gestures that stay with me long after I’ve left.
In 2024, I was honoured to be named Amateur Photographer of the Year, an award that affirmed my belief in photography’s ability to tell human stories in their most authentic form.
In recent years, my work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in the UK and internationally, including:
Selected Exhibitions
Atlas of Humanity — ImageNation (London, Milan, Paris)
LVII Collective — FLOW Photofest (Forres, Thurso)
Faces from Africa (solo) — Eden Court Theatre, Inverness
Women Behind the Lens — Guardian News & Media Group, London
This site is a gallery of those moments—photographs from the Highlands and from travels further afield.
I share new work on Substack, often drawing from my archive—pairing images with short written vignettes or longer form pieces. You’ll also find more frequent updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses over on Instagram.
And if something here catches your eye, or you’d just like to say hello, I’d love to hear from you.
